A 30-year-old teacher has been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Devence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old pupil in Zamfara State.
Spokesperson of NSCDC in the state, Ikor Oche, said that the suspect, Mukaila Abdurrazak, who has been teaching the minor both in school and at home, had been taking advantage of the girl for the past three years.

Oche stated that the suspect confessed to the crime during preliminary investigation and will be charged to court.
The Zamfara NSCDC advised parents and guardians to be vigilant and mindful of the people they leave their children/wards for especially those who disguise as teachers.
