  • 16 suspects have been arrested for vandalism in Abuja.

  • The Suspects were arrested by the Federal Capital Territory Administration following the series of vandalism in the state.

The operatives of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA have arrested 16 suspects for vandalism.

According to reports from coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Chief Felix Obuah, the suspects were arrested for vandalizing streetlights in Abuja.

He said this during a briefing of newsmen on Friday, November 1, 2024, that the arrest came after serious investigations into the recent vandalism in the state.

He explained that more than 16 suspects were arrested in the last week, adding that on Thursday alone, five suspects were arrested, with two others evading capture.

He said;

Security is everyone’s responsibility. We have enlisted the support of local vigilance teams and hunters, which led to today’s arrests.”

Obuah added that any individual found vandalizing would be made to face the law.
