A 16-year-old boy, Emmanuel John has reportedly pounded his father to death with a pestle.
Emmanuel John was then apprehended by the Nigerian police for killing his father, Monday John by using a pestle to hit the victim on the head during a fight with his mother, Mercy John.
The incident was reported by one Yusuf Ayuba to the Karshi police station, and Emmanuel John was currently in police custody.

During a press briefing, Haruna Garba, the FCT Commissioner of Police, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect’s father died from the fatal assault.
The commissioner further explained that the deceased and his wife had a long-standing hatred towards each other.
It was said that Emmanuel John was only taking his mother’s side this time when the incident occurred.
The police said he would be arranged in a juvenile court after the investigation.
