During the distribution of palliatives, two students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, tragically lost their lives, while 23 others were hospitalized.
Abraham Habu, the Head of Information at the university, revealed the during a telephone conversation with Channels Television.
The state government had provided the school with palliatives to alleviate the economic hardship faced by students.
However, chaos ensued when some students overwhelmed the security personnel, resulting in a stampede.

The students not only suffered injuries but also made off with the food items, according to Habu.
Fortunately, normalcy has been restored, and the 23 injured students are currently receiving medical care.
Earlier in the week, the Nasarawa State government initiated the distribution of palliatives to tertiary institution students in Lafia and Akwanga, benefiting approximately 9,000 students.
