200 Level Student Commits Suicide
A 200-L student of the department of History and Diplomacy, Federal University Otuoke has reportedly committed suicide following a battle with depression.
The deceased identified as Lucky Arirekpar took his life by hanging on the ceiling fan after locking the doors and windows of his apartment.
Daily Report Nigeria gathered that the hanging corpse of Lucky who is popularly referred to as Don Zednas was discovered on Monday, March 22, 2021.

Don Zednas, a former student representative of the Ijaw Youth Council Central Zone, hails from Otuakeme in Ogbia Local government area of Bayelsa state.
According to campus sources, Don Zednas’ decision to end his life was influenced by pressure from family members who tagged him a failure over alleged poor academic performances.
The source also revealed that the deceased attempted suicide twice in 2020 in a bid to escape depression as a result of the abuse from relatives.
Don Zednas is said to have left a note for his relatives, saying his decision to end his life is solely for peace to reign.
Confirming the incident, the student union leader of the institution, Debekeme Kojo stated the deceased committed the act as a result of depression amidst frustration from his family.
Spokesperson of the Bayelsa State Police Command, Asinmu Butswat also confirmed the incident but revealed that no official report has been made at the force headquarters.
Lucky has since been buried according to traditional laws surrounding the circumstances surrounding his death.
Friends and colleagues have since taken to social media to mourn the deceased.
