2023: APC Tells Court to Disqualify All PDP Candidates in Rivers

Rivers–All Progressives Congress has sued the Independent National Electoral Commission, the Peoples Democratic Party, its governorship candidate, Sim Fubara, and thirty-one others to a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, based on “non-compliance to the electoral act.”

The APC told the court to disqualify all candidates of the PDP for 2023 general elections for “delaying” to present the register containing the names of their candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission within thirty days as according to the law.

The party again wants the court to disqualify all PDP candidates in the state for not properly signing the letter containing the names of the candidates before forwarding it.
