The Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State has described the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress has ‘dangerous’ to Nigerians.

This is even as the ruling party in Delta State took its a ward-to-ward campaign for its presidential Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and running mate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in the 2023 general elections to Burutu local government area.

The party also campaigned for its governorship candidate of the state, Sheriff Oborevwori, and its deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme.

Other candidates campaigned for are Prince Michael Diden, for Senate Delta South, and Julius Pondi for House of Representatives, Burutu federal constituency, Asupa Forteta for Delta State House of Assembly Burutu North constituency, and Chief Pereotu Oloye for Delta State House of Assembly, Burutu South Constituency.

The campaign train visited Ogulagha Ward 11, Obotebe Ward 10 and Ayakoromor Ward 7.

In ward 10, the assembly candidate for Action Democratic Congress Binebai Desmond, decamped to the PDP to support its House of Assembly candidate.

He said:

“I, Desmond Binebai was once a PDP member but left. Having left, I’ve seen how the other party is. There is no future in ADC. I want to urge every member, of the PDP there is sense of belonging and I want to say we work together to ensure we deliver PDP 6/6.”

Similarly, a former councillor of the ward also decamped to the PDP, saying;

” I believe you all know PDP is the only party physically, mentally, and even spiritually that is ready to take Nigeria forward. I urge every one of you, the youths, and my supporters to come together and deliver PDP.”

In Ayakoromor, the Ward 7 chairman, Mr Prince Kelvin charged the people to vote for the PDP candidates in the coming elections.

Perekeme reminded the people that only the PDP catered for them at the peak of the flood disaster, adding that voting the party into power would amount to more development.

Kelvin said:

“When there was a flood, Asupa came with relief materials. Angele also, while Okowa brought eight hundred thousand naira to this ward. Today we have no other choice than to vote for vote PDP. At the federal level, APC is presenting a Muslim- Muslim ticket. Shine your eyes. Muslim- Muslim ticket is danger for Nigeria. PDP has a Muslim- Christian ticket that is the best combination.”

In Ayakoromor community, Promise Lawuru whom the people suspected had decamped to the APC, reaffirmed his position as a member of the PDP.

He said:

“All the candidates belong to us and we belong to them. Any grievances have been settled. So, let’s vote for them.”
