2023: Beware of Omo-Agege The 'Yahoo Boys' Mentor - Group Tells Deltans | Daily Report Nigeria

A group under the umbrella of Sheriffied Advocates for Good Governance has called on Deltans to be weary of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege

SAGG’s warning is coming on the heels of the Deputy Senator’s comments, where he described internet fraud as just a means for survival.

According to Agege, internet fraud otherwise known as Yahoo Yahoo is not fraud, adding that his administration will rehabilitate fraudsters into society in a bid to give credence to tech.

While Agege’s comment has caused divided reactions, SAGG has called on Deltans to beware of a governorship candidate, who makes such statements in public.

The group also called on Deltans to the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Sheriff Oborevwori, “who would introduce good economic policies and create jobs that would take our youths off the street.”

It futher argued that “Delta State is not the Nigerian Senate where Mace is been rustled.”

The statement signed by SAGF Coordinator, Comr Seiyefa Ekpemupolo, and Secretary General, Comr. Yangaboy Erekedoumene, reads;

“Our attention has been drawn to a very sad and insulting statement allegedly credited to the Deputy Speaker of the Nigerian Senate, Olorogun Ovie Omo-Agege wherein he allegedly stated that internet fraud, AKA (Yahoo Yahoo) is not a crime but a survival measure.

“Although, we are aware that the APC both at the national and Delta State level is made up of people with questionable characters but we are alarmed by the temerity with which Olorogun Ovie Omo-Agege who is currently a gallivanting wannabe governor in Delta State threw his criminal intentions to the faces of law abiding deltans.

“Although we are aware that his alleged yahoo yahoo support manifesto is a desperate act from an unpopular and rejected candidate, Ovie Omo-Agege should be reminded that Delta State is not a ground for all manner of crimes including mace rustling and internet fraud.

“While we frown at the ugly narratives of the Nigerian society to the international community by Mr Yahoo Mentor, we want to thank him for making the election easy for the leading Gubernatorial candidate Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori of the PDP who have mapped out a people oriented, developmentally appropriate and economically viable manifesto for Deltan youths.

“Although, the Ovie Omo-Agege antecedents are well known to all and wouldn’t have posed a threat to the PDP, his current criminal manifesto circulating in the Nigerian media space has further made the job easy for well-meaning Deltans to decide their future come 2023.

“Deltans would now vote between a crime free society championed by a perfect gentleman who would train our youths in skills, educate our kids and provide job opportunities that would take them off the street and a crime sponsoring and protecting government led by Yahoo boys mentor, Ovie Omo-Agege.

“We the Sheriffied Advocates for Good Governance SAGG, believes there is a bright future in the MORE leadership of Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori and we are sure Deltans would shun dudes with proud criminal record and a crime protecting manifesto.

“We would always advice our youths to queue behind the PDP and it’s gubernatorial candidate Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori who is dedicated towards building a Delta State of MORE opportunities.
