A young Nigerian lady with the Twitter handle @firstladyship
has pleaded with organizers of the Big Brother Naija Reality TV show to suspend it till be after the 2023 General Elections.
According to her, hosting the TV show in an election year would only shift the attention of Nigerians, particularly youths from choosing the right leaders in 2023.
She further opined for organizers to host an election-themed show, to help millions of youths focus on registering and collecting their PVCs.
She said:
“My appeal to @Ebuka & @BBNaija to suspend the Reality TV show until after the 2023 General Elections. The Youth of Nigeria need to focus on the next Election. Our focus & advocacy now is how to get millions of youths to register & collect their PVCs. Big Brother, HELP US!!”
A working Nigeria works for everybody. People & businesses will thrive. Nigerians will genuinely have a sense of ownership in the Nigeria Project. But if my appeal is just too much for the Show Owners, perhaps PVC/ELECTION THEMED SHOW might help? We have to think out of the box.
