Hon. (Dr) Akpibere Samson Odafe, a Special Assistant to the Delta State Government, has resigned his position.
Odafe’s resignation was contained in a letter addressed to Ifeanyi Okowa through the Secretary to Delta State Government.
The former aide on protocol, however, did not state his reason for resigning.

The letter dated October 6, 2022 and titled ‘Resignation as a Special Assistant Political to the Governor of Delta State’, reads;
“I wish to respectfully tender my resignation from my appointment as a Special Assistant Political to His Excellency, Senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, The Executive Governor of Delta State, with effect from November, 2022.
“I would be grateful if you could confirm receipt of my notification and my leaving date.
“May I take this opportunity to thank His Excellency and the Delta State Government for his support and opportunity to serve; during the course of my appointment.
“I wish you, your team and the Government of Delta State nothing but success for the future.”
