David Bamgbose, governorship candidate of the PRP died on Friday, Sept. 2

Prof David Bamgbose, a governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party in Ogun state, is dead.

Bamgbose, a Professor of Educational Management died just a week after he was declared the governorship candidate of the PRP on August 27, by the Chairman of the party, Samson Ogunsanya.

The deceased was unveiled after a meeting with leaders and stakeholders of the party in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

Daily Report gathered that Bamgbose died at Lantoro Hospital, Abeokuta following a brief illness on Friday morning.

His demise was confirmed by his Personal Assistant, Mr Oduntan Olayemi, saying the clergyman had complained of tiredness the previous day.

He wad taken to hospital around Olomore, but was later referred to the Federal Medical Central, (FMC), Abeokuta.

Olayemi said:-
“He complained of tiredness on yesterday and we decided to take him to an hospital around Olomore. We were referred to FMC for further checks

“We opted for the state hospital, Lantoro, because of the urgency and he was admitted at the emergency ward where he was administered oxygen till today (Friday).

“I got back to the hospital this morning and I met him breathing too fast and heavy. I got a call from where I went to get him some prescribed medication that he had passed on.”

Bamgbose is survived by his wife, Mary, and six children.
