2023: PDP Announces Date to Screen Deputy Governorship Candidates

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced date to screen deputy governorship candidate nominees of the party ahead of the 2023 elections.

In a statement on Saturday by the PDP National Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Bature, the screening of the potential governorship running mates will hold on Wednesday, June 22, 2022

According to the statement, the 10-man committee will be chaired by Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, with Dr. Akilu Indabawa as secretary.

The statement read in part;

“The Deputy Governorship Candidate Screening Committee is for the purpose of the screening/verifying the nominated Deputy Governorship Candidates of our Party in all the 28 (twenty-eight) states where governorship elections are scheduled.

“The Screening Exercise will be at the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall, Wadata Plaza, Abuja FCT, on Wednesday June 22, 2022, by 10am prompt.

“Please note that this screening is MANDATORY for all nominated Deputy Gubernatorial Candidates of our Party.”
