The Kebbi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has endorsed Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal’s presidential ambitions.

Aminu Tambuwal, who was in the state earlier today as part of his nationwide 2023 Presidential consultation, led a powerful delegation that included former governor of Sokoto state Attahairu Bafarawa, former deputy governor of Sokoto state and ex-minister for water resources Muntari Shagari, former minister Engineer Bello Sulaiman, and Sokoto State PDP youth leader Ahadiya Mustpaha Mbinji.

Their campaign slogan has failed. So it’s up to us to turn this country’s fortunes around. I implore you all to remain steadfast and committed.”

He thanked the state executive committee for the party’s success in the recently concluded local government elections in the state, noting that it is a sign that the party is ready to reclaim the state.

Tambuwal was greeted by the entire Kebbi PDP state executive committee, which was led by the party’s chairman, Alhaji Usman Bello Suru, as well as former Special Duties Minister Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, General Ishaya Bamayi, and General Bello Siyaki.

Usman Bello Suru, the state PDP chairman, stated in his remarks that the Kebbi state PDP fully supports Governor Tambuwal’s ambition.

He asked a question to demonstrate this, he asked all delegates, Kebbi state PDP local government chairmen, and the state executive committee to identify themselves.

The discussion was opened by Bello Alihru Mohammed, who stated that Nigeria is in bad shape under Buhari’s administration and that the Kebbi state PDP is supporting Tambuwal not because he is from Sokoto, but because he is competent to rule Nigeria.

“We are aware of his abilities. We knew him when he was an aide, when he was a legislator when he became speaker, and during his tenure as governor of Sokoto.

“He is qualified to rule this country,” he said. “We recognized his quality and assure you of our support.”

Alhaji Bafrawa, a former governor of Sokoto, said Tambuwal is the right person for the job as he has the experience of a legislator, a member of the judiciary, and a two-term governor who has performed admirably.
