The lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Julius Pondi, has officially declared for a third term.
The two-term rep member made his intention for a third term at the Red Chambers known on Thursday, before the Odimodi/Ogulagha Ward 11, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Appreciating his primary constituency for the support given him over the years, the lawmaker listed cardinal projects he had undertaken and influenced to Ward 11 within the last seven years.

Pondi listed some of the projects to include the Sand filling of Odimodi
Ogulagha, JAMB Centre in Ogulagha, Ogulagha/Odimodi 12km road project, which also links some part of Ward 19 and 20, street lights, and others.
He also listed a 2.5km road in Sokebolou and another 2km in Obotobo as projects already awarded and set to take off any time soon, not forgetting the bill seeking the establishment of the Federal Institute of Diving Technology, Sokebolou, which already passed first readying at the Green Chambers.
“I’ve come to make my intentions known to you, and seek for your unalloyed support as my family. The way you have supported me in times before, I ask that you do it again in 2023.
“I have been your messenger, and I can assure you that I’ll do more even in this time,” Pondi solicited.
Ward 11 Passes Vote of Confidence on Julius Pondi
The Ward 11 PDP Caucus Chairman, Chief Evans Etimigba in his remark stated that the lawmaker has done well and was deserving of another term.
“He has done well. We’ll give you the needed support to ensure you’re elected in 2023,” Etimigba said before asking for a motion to pass a vote of confidence on the lawmaker.
In moving the motion to pass a vote of confidence on Pondi, Hon Tom Ebiakpo Willy, stated that the rep member “has done a lot that is unprecedented, in the history of Burutu Federal Constituency.
“We’ve not had it so good in Burutu. This man has exhumed courage and I call for the people of the constituency to give him their support.
“We as Ward 11 Caucus members, endorse you to return to the National Assembly so that your colleagues will know that you’re a fire brand, and that we’re solidly behind you.”
The leadership of the PDP Ward 11 as well caucus members gave a rousing “aye” to declare their support for Julius Pondi’s third term bid at the House of Representatives.
