The Pondified Ambassadors, a support group of the lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon Julius Pondi, on Tuesday Inaugurated a new set of leadership ahead the 2023 elections.
The new leadership led by Mrs. Elizabeth Tonghan Ekpemupolo was sworn-in in an occasion led by Comrade Shedrack Agediga, the Executive Director Planning, Research and Statistics on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission, DESOPADEC.
The ceremony held at the Julius Pondi Campaign Office in Warri, Delta State.

Addressing the new leadership, Comrade Agediga, who was represented by Hon Amu Cedric Itoto, charged them to remain resolute in keeping the vision of competent continuity alive.
He also warned against confrontational acts during campaign, saying the portfolio of their principal is sellable without arguments.
He said, “Keep the vision of being young progressive politicians alive by remaining resolute in your determination for competent continuity of Rt Hon Julius Pondi in 2023
“Don’t engage in any confrontational act, when you can easily show the delegates and the electorates the developmental strides of Hon Julius Pondi across the wards of Burutu federal constituency.
“Pondified Ambassadors have done well and I believe the new leadership can replicate and do better efforts of the previous team, because the Principal have more evidence of hard work to show Burutu people.
Agediga wished the new Central Working Committee of the Pondified Ambassadors all the best of in their outing, as they all collectively work for credible continuity in 2023.
On her part, the new Chairperson of the group, Mrs Elizabeth Tonghan Ekpemupolo, expressed appreciation for the the responsibility assigned her, while assuring that her team will put in their best to ensure victory.
Her acceptance speech reads in full;
“May I start by expressing the sincerest appreciation on behalf of myself and members of the just inaugurated executive sincere appreciation to our leaders, stakeholders, supporters, lovers of Rt. Hon. Julius G. Pondi and of course our amiable and gallant principal, Rt. Hon. Julius G. Pondi, the worthy representative of the good people of Burutu Federal Constituency for this opportunity to lead a group of ardent supporters and followers of Julius Pondi in his progressive political journey.
“My deep appreciation is also channeled to my predecessor, Comr. Williams Welemu Ayoromiegha (Jr), who birthed and nurtured this ever growing assemblage of emerging leaders in Burutu Federal Constituency; under his leadership the Pondified Ambassadors emerged a movement of purpose driven intellectuals with defined mission and clearly set goals; which he inspired us to achieve at the time.
“Thank you for finding me worthy to succeed you in leading this great team. I Thank You!
“Needless I remind you all that the elections are upon us one more time, hence we are duty bound to again beat our drum of support for our dear principal through purpose driven campaigns.
“Our principal, Rt. Hon. Julius G. Pondi has proven to be a worthy representative of Burutu Federal Constituency deserving of ours and the support of everyone else to be returned a third time to the National Assembly; hence we shall campaign with the hashtag #PondifiedAgain2023.
“Our continued support is based on the effective representation Burutu people has enjoyed under the leadership of our principal; who has discharged his lawmaking, oversight and representation duties to the pride of all well meaning Burutu indigenes.
“He has since his assumption of office carried out several youths and women empowerment programmes, setup a functional JAMB Centre in the core riverine, provide yearly JAMB forms for constituents, provided several learning and teaching aides to schools across our constituency, secured several employment and training opportunities our people, sincerely reached out to all wards of Burutu Federal Constituency with his constituency projects littered all over our communities and a lot more efforts; all of which we promise to outline with pictorial backing as we commence our massive campaign for support in the coming days.
“He has since his ascension into office raised people oriented motions and sponsored bills that will functions as the basis for our collective growth for which every Burutu person is happy we now have a loud voice that has brought to the fore the plight of our people in the National stage.
“The Pondified Ambassadors have no iota of doubt that our Principal has done well and deserves a third tenure to consolidate on the gains we have made so far; his return to the green chamber would mean he is a ranking member who is likely to be amongst key decision makers in the legislature to the collective benefit of Burutu people.
“I therefore, call on all leaders and delegates of our great party and the general public to do the needful by voting and supporting Rt. Hon. Julius G. Pondi to give him the required support in the forthcoming electioneering process.
“The Pondified Ambassadors are group of youths who are progress-driven.M; we have passion for progress and it is for this notable reason that we are supporting and ready to work for the people’s representative to ensure he continues with his good works. “To members of my team, the dodged and gallant comrades, the Pondified Ambassadors, lovers of progress and every Pondified individual walking in the light of pondification, I encourage you all to be ready to work and deliver continuity for the continuous development of our dear Burutu Federal Constituency.
“We have done it before, We will do it again and together we will do the right thing by not just giving power to he who deserves it but also knows how to use it for our collective good.”
