The report indicated that a total of 23 presidential aspirants were screened by the committee, with a 10 of them being disqualified from partaking in the contest.
Speaking to journalist at the ongoing meeting of the National Working Committee, Odigie-Oyegun said the former president was never at Transcorp Hilton for the exercise.
His clarification is coming on the heels of reports that Jonathan was screened and eligible to enter the race.
The clarification could further quell the rumors of Goodluck Jonathan being a preferred candidate to fly the ruling party’s flag at the 2023 presidential election.
