The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has announced Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate.
The former Vice President gave the pronouncement in a televised broadcast on Thursday afternoon.
He further took to his official social media accounts to say;

Prior to Okowa’s emergence, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State was reported to be a recommended candidate by a Vice Presidential Screening Committee.
Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom was also under consideration to be Atiku’s partner ahead of the 2023 general election.
