Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has picked up the Expression of Interest and Nominations forms of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
The development is coming barely three days after the governor declared his intention to contest for the 2023 presidency.

Wike had described himself as the best candidate to move the nation forward, while addressing Governor Samuel Ortom and other party delegates in Benue.
“To remove APC from power, I’m the person who can tell them enough is enough. We must take this power and I’m ready to take it for PDP. God is with us that’s why APC keeps failing everyday.
“I’m declaring it (presidential ambition) for the first time in Benue. I’m going to run for election,” Wike had said.
The vocal governor had also reiterated his commitment to a Southern president in 2023.
