2023 Presidency: I’ll Scrap Ministry of Women Affairs – Omoyele Sowore

Publisher of Sahara Reporters and 2023 presidential aspirant of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore has promised to scrap the Ministry of Women Affairs if elected president.

The #BuhariMustGo convener stated this on his verified Facebook page on Monday evening.

Sowore argued that having a ministry of women affairs further divides the calls for gender equality.

Wondering why there was no ministry for men affairs, Sowore wrote;

“When Elected President, I will scrap the “Ministry of Women Affairs.” No country aspiring towards gender parity creates a ministry of Women affairs, why is there No Ministry of “Men Affairs?”

Sowore, who also contested the 2019 presidential election has been affirmed the flag bearer of the AAC ahead the 2023 election.

Banky W Wins PDP ticket for Eti-Osa

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer and music executive, Olubankole Wellington, best known as Banky W has clinched the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State.

Banky scored 28 votes ahead of his opponent, who polled just 3 votes to clinch the PDP ticket.
