The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed that he is still in search of a running mate ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
The APC National Leader stated this while speaking at the 60th birthday celebration of Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representative, on Sunday in Abuja.
Tinubu particularly commended the harmonious relationship Gbajabiamila has maintained with his deputy, Idris Wase, advising that politicians should learn from the duo.

Tinubu, who commended the Speaker for his role in his emergence as presidential candidate, further teased that he may need to learn from the House leaders as he was still in search of a running mate.
“You are a very good symbol of unity and honesty. You have not rocked the boat and we need to learn from both of you how you made the pair work because I’m still searching for my running mate”.
Tinubu’s statement is coming just over a week after the APC submitted Kabiru Masari to the Independent National Electoral commission as his running mate.
While the party says the move is only a temporal one to enable it pick a fitting vice presidential candidate, a massive outcry has greeted the decision of the APC to fly a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
However, a section of stakeholders believe that only a Muslim-Muslim will give the APC victory at the 2023 presidential election.
