Labour Party, LP’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi has countered speculations of being an ally to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Recall that there were rumours that he, Obi, Atiku’s running mate in the 2019 presidential election, may step down for his former boss before the 2023 elections
However, Obi, while speaking with Channels TV on Monday, declared he was contesting to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

The LP candidate further affirmed that he possessed the qualities of winning the election scheduled for February 2023.
“Nobody goes into a match thinking of what will happen, everybody is going there to win. I am going into this contest to win, I am going into this contest to be the president of Nigeria.
“I think I have all it takes to win,” he said.
