2023 Presidency: We’ll Support Any Igbo Aspirant Chosen By APC – South-east Aspirants

Presidential aspirants from the South-East region under the All Progressives Congress (APC), have agreed to support any of the region aspirants chosen by the party as its candidate.

The aspirants reached the agreement at a review meeting of the former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.

The Igbo aspirants pledged to work together in a communique issued on Sunday and jointly signed by the former Minister of Information, Chief Ikeobasi Molukwu, former Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi former President of the Senate, Sen. Ken. Nnamani, Mrs. Uju Ohanenye, former Governor of Imo state, Sen. Rochas Okorocha and former Minister of State for Education, Hon. Chukwuemeka Nwajibu.

The communique read: “That we commend all Nigerians who are committed to the Nigerian project by the whole hearted support of the aspiration of the south east to produce the next Nigerian president in 2023.

“That in furtherance of these commitments all aspirants here commits to align with any of the south east aspirants that is accepted by and chosen by other Nigerians to fly the APC flag.”
