Former President Goodluck Jonathanhas called on youths to involve more in politics by contesting for elective positions.

He stated this when hundreds of supporters stormed his private office in Abuja, urging him to contest for the 2023 presidency.

The supporters bearing placard with inscriptions such as ‘Goodluck Jonathan Declare For Presidemcy’ demanded for the former Bayelsa State Governor to join the presidential race.

However, in addressing the supporters, Jonathan charged youths to gear up and take up the mantle of leadership, particularly the presidential seat.

“For you to come this morning, it shows that you’re interesting in politics. We’ve always been urging that youths should involve in politics. And luckily, the Not Too Young to Run bill has made it clear that youths can contest almost every position in politics.”
