The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), during its integrity test conducted on guber candidates for the 2023 elections, said only one candidate appeared for the test in Katsina State.
The Katsina NDLEA Commander, Muhammed Bashir disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday.
Bashir said only the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) governorship flagbearer, Imran Jino visited the agency for the test and tested free.

The official hence urged politicians vying for various political positions in Katsina to come for the test.
The NDLEA commander added that doing such would encourage their supporters to shun drug abuse.
It said:
“Politicians should not encourage those using drugs within their campaign environment, and we are still advising them to come up for integrity tests.
“I’m happy that one of the governorship candidates has done that; others should take a cue from that.”
“As a politician, you don’t need to give drugs to your supporters for them to be able to support you you don’t need to be violent.”
