The Delta South Senatorial District Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Julius Takeme has thrown his weight behind the endorsement of Sheriff Oborevwori as the sole governorship candidate of Delta state by Delta Youth Political Alliance, DYPA.
In an official visit to Takeme by group led by Amb.Comrade Ozobo Austin and Comrade Ellington Ebakumo on Tuesday, said the groups endorsement of the PDP governorship and presidential candidates was a right step in the right direction.
Explaining its reason for the endorsement of the Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, the group said;

“Takinga close look at the various governorship candidates clamouring to takeover power in Delta State, they appear not prepared and ready to lead the state. They are only pursuing personal agenda and do not have Deltans at heart”.
Thanking the group for their support, the erstwhile commissioner stressed that PDP would win both the governorship poll in Delta state as well as the presidential election.
He assured the group of his unalloyed support to strengthen the group’s efforts in canvassing votes for the in the 2023 general elections.
On his part, the chairman of Udu Local Government Area, Onajite Brown expressed satisfaction with DYPA, adding that PDP would end up victorious at the polls.
He further urged DYPA to take the campaign and its movement to the doorsteps of every Deltan to ensure PDP is delivered at all levels in the state.
Both Takeme and Brown were adopted as patrons by the Delta Youth Political Alliance.
The group had earlier adopted Atiku Abubakar, Sheriff Oborevwori, Michael Diden, Julius Pondi, Jite Brown, Asupa Forteta and Peres Oloye as sole candidates for the 2023 elections.
