Unbeaten in 28 tournament games and eyeing a fifth consecutive crown under coach Rena Wakama, they rebounded from an early 11–2 deficit to lead 22–17 after the first quarter and held a 43–37 edge at halftime.

Although Senegal outplayed them 17–7 in the third, D’Tigress rallied decisively in the final period to secure their spot in the title match.

With form, history, and momentum on their side, D’Tigress are only one win away from another illustrious chapter.
