2026 UTME, DE: JAMB Begins Sale of Forms, Releases Exam Dates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the sale of application forms for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session.

In a statement issued on Tuesday and signed by the Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB disclosed that only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026 are eligible to apply.

However, underage candidates may be considered for admission under strict evaluation conditions.

According to JAMB, candidates below 16 years must score not less than 80% in UTME or A-Level, Post-UTME, SSCE, and a special exceptional assessment to qualify for a waiver. Their results will only be released after the completion of the full evaluation process.

The board stated that UTME registration, including for candidates from foreign countries, will run from Monday, January 26 to Saturday, February 28, 2026. Sale of UTME e-PINs begins on January 19 and ends on February 26, 2026.

For Direct Entry candidates, the sale of application documents and e-PINs will commence on March 2 and close on April 25, 2026, and will only be available at JAMB’s state and zonal offices.

JAMB also announced three categories of e-PINs: DE (₦5,700), UTME without mock (₦7,200), and UTME with mock (₦8,700), alongside detailed service charges.
