The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos State has dismissed claims by Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, that the ruling party and the Federal Government are more concerned about politics ahead of 2027 than governance.

The party, in a statement on Friday by its spokesman, Seye Oladejo, described Mohammed’s remarks as a misplaced outburst from a frustrated opposition, insisting that President Bola Tinubu and the APC remain fully focused on the governance agenda.

Oladejo stressed that the Tinubu administration has embarked on bold reforms in the economy, security, infrastructure, and institutional development, while the opposition continues to grandstand in the media.

He further urged Governor Mohammed to emulate Lagos, which he said stands as proof of consistent, people-centred governance under the APC.

According to him, while the party respects the right of opposition leaders to voice their opinions, it is both ironic and regrettable that such criticisms are coming from Mohammed.

The APC urged the governor to redirect his energy to the governance of Bauchi State rather than “baseless attacks” on the ruling party and the Federal Government.
