Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has suspended his anticipated defection to the African Democratic Congress, delaying the formal collection of his membership card in Jada, Adamawa State.
The move comes amid rising speculation that former President Goodluck Jonathan may enter the 2027 presidential race under the ADC platform.
Atiku, who recently exited the Peoples Democratic Party after prolonged internal wrangling, had been set to receive the card from party officials on Wednesday, August 6.
