Group says former councillor embodies unity across Ijaw, Itsekiri, Urhobo communities
Concerned Warri Federal Constituents in Diaspora have renewed their call on Frank M. Pukon to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Warri Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

Warri Federal Constituency comprises Warri North, Warri South, and Warri South West Local Government Areas of Delta State.
In a statement signed by the group’s Coordinator, Boukan Godwin; Secretary, Oristegubemi J. Promise; and Public Relations Officer, Oghenero B. Peter, the diaspora body said the appeal represents its second formal call on the former councillor, citing growing confidence among constituents that he possesses the leadership qualities required to represent the constituency effectively at the national level.
The statement reads, “We, the Concerned Warri Federal Constituents in Diaspora, once again wish to make a strong and passionate appeal to Hon. Frank M. Pukon (Ph.D) to step forward and contest for the position of Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency come 2027. This statement represents our second formal call to him, reflecting the growing conviction among many constituents in the diaspora that he possesses the qualities and leadership capacity required to represent Warri Federal Constituency effectively at the national level.”

The group highlighted Pukon’s previous leadership roles, including his tenure as Councillor representing Diebiri Ward in Warri South West Local Government Area, as well as his appointments as Senior Special Assistant on Youth Development and Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the Delta State Government.
He also served as National Secretary of the Ijaw Youth Council.
According to the diaspora group, their renewed appeal is driven by the desire to see credible, inclusive and development-focused leadership emerge from the constituency.
It reads further, “At a time when citizens are yearning for responsible and transparent leadership, we believe he represents the type of trusted leadership that Warri Federal Constituency needs.”
The group also described Pukon as a unifying figure capable of bridging ethnic diversity within the constituency, noting that his background connects him to the three major ethnic nationalities in the area.
It stated that as an Ijaw son married to a woman partly of Itsekiri and Okere-Urhobo heritage, he naturally embodies ties across the three communities.
According to the statement, “We believe this rare position makes him a natural unifying figure capable of promoting peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and collective progress among our people.”
The group further described Pukon as a grassroots-oriented leader with a strong understanding of the challenges facing communities across the constituency.
They added that his experience, intellectual depth and commitment to innovation position him to advocate for policies that would advance infrastructure development, youth empowerment, education, economic growth and improved social welfare.
The diaspora constituents also commended his commitment to human capital development, particularly his support for youth and women empowerment initiatives.
The statement added, “As concerned constituents in the diaspora who remain deeply connected to the progress and future of our homeland, we once again respectfully urge Hon. Pukon to heed this growing call and present himself to serve the people as Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections.”
The group maintained that Warri Federal Constituency deserves leadership that understands its diversity, values unity and is committed to the development and progress of its people.
