Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, has warned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be wary of betrayal from within the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Ayodele, in a statement issued by his media aide, said not all APC governors are fully aligned with the President’s re-election ambition.

“Not all APC governors are with you for your presidency; some are one leg in and one leg out,” he said.

The cleric identified several northern states where Tinubu could face challenges, including Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Gombe, Adamawa, and Benue, warning that the President would need to put in significant political effort to secure victory.
“He must work on Kano so he won’t see betrayal. Kaduna will not be easy for you to win; you need serious homework there,” he added.
Ayodele also claimed that opposition forces are gaining ground in parts of the North, noting that Atiku Abubakar is making strategic moves in the region.
“Atiku is doing serious underground work in the north, and they are almost striking a deal with him,” he said.
However, the cleric pointed to states such as Taraba, Niger, Sokoto, and Borno as strongholds that could favour Tinubu if properly managed.
“Some states that will work well for him are Taraba, Niger, Sokoto, and Borno state; he shouldn’t joke with them at all,” he added.
The warning comes amid growing political realignments and early manoeuvring ahead of the 2027 general elections.
