Former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has debunked speculations that he would resurrect his presidential ambition in 2027 to contest president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, said that he remained loyal to the Tinubu administration, noting that as a person who despises disloyalty, he cannot run against his boss, President Tinubu.
In an interview on Friday in Abuja, Wike remembered how his eternal search for justice prompted him and five other Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governors to create the G5 to canvass for transition of power to the Southern part of Nigeria.

He said that excellent character should never be sacrificed on the altar of politics.
According to him, “Tinubu made me the FCT minister and I won’t allow anybody to crumble our political structure. No!
“Tinubu made me minister, people don’t understand, I have character. What will happen in 2027? I stood and I said I am not going to support injustice. I was threatened that they would do me this and that. They tried many options including using Major Generals.”
