Because the tournament now runs every four years, teams have started to secure their spots well in advance.
Paris Saint-Germain cruised past Inter Milan 5–0 to win the UEFA Champions League and seal their 2029 Club World Cup spot.
Meanwhile, Cruz Azul secured their 2029 Club World Cup spot by triumphing in the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Also, Pyramids FC clinched theirs as CAF Champions League winners.
And Al-Ahli sealed the quartet with victory in the AFC Champions League Elite.
