Nigeria and China have signed a series of landmark agreements aimed at promoting cooperation on key initiatives.
President Xi Jinping of China and President Bola Tinubu held a bilateral meeting in Beijing on Tuesday, paving the way for the highly anticipated Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

1. Belt and Road Initiative Cooperation Plan.
Nigeria and China will jointly promote the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), boosting economic ties between the two nations.

2. Nuclear Energy Agreement.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the peaceful application of Nuclear Energy was signed, paving the way for Nigeria to benefit from China’s expertise in nuclear power generation.

3. Human Resource Development MoU.
An MoU was signed on strengthening cooperation on Human Resource Development under the Global Development Initiative, aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s capacity-building efforts.
4. Media Exchange and Cooperation MoU.
A Memorandum of Understanding on Media Exchange and Cooperation was signed, promoting cultural exchange and cooperation in broadcasting.
5. China Media Group and Nigerian Television Authority MoU.
A separate MoU was inked between China Media Group and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), aimed at promoting cultural exchange and cooperation in broadcasting.
