Five people have been left dead, following the abduction of two Chinese Nationals by armed men in Kogi state.

According to reports, a group of armed men consisting to about 20 invaded a mining site in Zango city, shooting sporadically in the air, and killed five persons – three vigilante members and two staffs

According to locals, the operation started at about 5pm, and lasted for about 45 minutes before the armed men whisked the two Chinese men away

‘’Initially, we did not know what was happening, and the gunshots were loud. I had to leave the area along with other people out of fear. This is very bad and worrisome in the state capital. We urge the government to step up security in the state.””
