An High court sitting in Ekiti state has sentenced five men for culpable homicide and arm robbery.
According to reports, the suspects were arraigned in court for robbing three people, and gruesomely murdering a security guard.

The suspects were sentenced by Hon. Justice O.O. Olatawura, the presiding judge in the High court in Ekiti state on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
The convicts, identified as: Ojo Tope (a.k.a. Tope Dudu), Damilola Christopher (a.k.a. XY), Joshua Adegoke, Aderopo Temitope (a.k.a. Tope Pupa), and Oyedele Oluwatobi were said to have committed the crime on on August 18, 2021, at Agogo Street, Ilupeju Avenue, Odo-Ado, Ado-Ekiti.
The prosecution counsel, Director of Public Prosecutions, Julius Ajibare, Esq., who presented four witnesses and tendered 13 exhibits said the convicts robbed Ajiboye Olajide, Lateef Temidayo Busari, and Akeem Isiaka of cash, laptops, mobile phones, and other valuables.
Delivering judgement, Justice Olatawura found the defendanta guilty, and sentenced all five convicts to death by hanging for armed robbery and murder, and to 21 years’ imprisonment for conspiracy.
