5 Vigilante Members Killed by Suspected Herdsmen in Ondo | Daily Report Nigeria

Herdsmen have reportedly killed 5 members of a vigilante group in Arimojiga Community, Ose Local Government Area, Ondo State.

This happened after Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu visit to Molege, a neighbouring community where three people were killed and houses razed.

According to report, the herdsmen went into hiding after members of Ondo Amotekun Corps responded to a distress call in Molege community.

An operative of the group was however injured during the attack.

During the attack on the patrolling vigilance groups in Arimojiga on Tuesday January 11, five members of the group including the Chairman of the community youth, Augustine Lucky was killed.

Commander of Ondo Amotekun Corps, Chief Adetunji Adeyeye disclosed that his men stationed at Molege were informed about the attack and rushed to the area. He said his men were still in the forest but declined to give any further details about casualties.
