The Ogun State Police Command has nabbed a 65-year-old pastor, Timothy Adedibu for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old girl in Magboro, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area (LGA).
The incident occurred on February 15, and it was brought to light by the survivor’s uncle.
According to the police, Adedibu is believed to be the leader of a church in the community.

It was said that the victim’s family informed the authorities that the clergyman enticed the minor into his apartment and committed the offense.
In a separate case, the police apprehended another suspect, Prince Dara, for raping a 17-year-old girl in Abolaniyi Street, Idorawa, via Idi-Oke.
The victim, identified as Odede, accused the Dara of luring her into his house the previous day after he confiscated her bag, which contained her mobile phone and personal belongings.
The suspect allegedly threatened her with a knife and subjected her to multiple instances of sexual assault before eventually releasing her.
He was arrested by authorities on February 8, 2024.
