Quite a handful of people have lost their lives, following a fatal marine accident on the River Niger.
According to reports, the incident happened in the early hours of today, Friday, 29th November, along the Dambo-Ebuchi sections of River Niger.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the boat, which belongs to one Musa Dangana was carrying over 200 persons, which consists of market women anr farm labourers to the Katcha market before it capsized.

Rescue efforts were immediately made, as local divers recovered a total of 8 bodies.
Preliminary reports indicate that none of the passengers were wearing life jackets at the time of the accident, which may have contributed to the high number of casualties
