A nine-month-old baby died in Bayelsa State’s capital city, Yenagoa while his mother and father were responding to some offenders.

According to reports, the sad event occurred on Tuesday morning along the Tombia-Ekpetiama area of the state.

The couple reportedly kept the baby above the flooded ground as they needed to respond to the said offenders.

Unfortunately, the unstable table tipped over, causing the child drowned.

In a related news, a two-year-old child drowned in Ogbogoro community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state.

According to Mangrovepen, the incident occured on Wednesday morning and threw the community into a state of mourning.

“Just this morning, 12th October 2022 in Ogbogoro community a 2-year-old baby drowned in the flood. Efforts were made to save the baby but she give up,” a source told the publication.
