  • Men of the Niger State Police command have arrested a boy for the crime of rape.

  • Daily Report Nigeria gathers that a 9-year-old boy has been taken into custody for allegedly defiling a 3-year-old.

The police have taken a 9-year-old boy into custody for allegedly raping a 3-year-old girl.

According to reports from Daily Trust, the accused, a primary 3 pupil, allegedly raped the victim a 3-year-old pre-nursery child.

The incident was reported to have happened in Karfe community in Maje District of Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State.

According to an Abuja-based activist, Comrade Nura Muktar, the suspect was said to have lured the minor into an isolated class within their school and used his finger to defile her.

 

She was rushed to the hospital bleeding and she was admitted for some days before being discharged,” Muktar said. 

“This was the second time the boy was accused of committing such an act against her at the school. He did the same sometime in July, which was resolved at the family level, only for the worse now to happen.”

Reacting to this, the father of the victim went to the school, where he confronted the management and in the process, hit the computer and the printer out of emotion.

 

“They reported him to the police and eventually arraigned him before a magistrate’s court before being released on bail.” 

 

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Wasiu Abiodun said;

“On 9/11/2024, a report of indecent assault was received at Maje Div. Suleja against one Ibrahim Umar (9) of Sabon-Wuse. It was reported that on 6/11/2024, Umar and one other of the same school indecently assaulted a girl of about three years of Karfee, Kaduna road, by fingering her private part,” the PPRO said. 

 

“The police operatives of the division took the minor victim to the Suleja General Hospital for medical examination, while an exhibit of a pair of pants with suspected blood stains was recovered.

“During questioning, the said Ibrahim Umar, confessed to the crime in the presence of his parents. Further investigation is ongoing at Maje Division
