Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State on Monday protested over the delayed announcement of governorship election results.
The protesters including men, women, and youths stopped at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Yola, the state’s capital.
They urged the commission to respect the mandate of the people.

INEC had on Sunday suspended collation of the supplementary poll after the Resident Electoral Commission (REC) in the state unlawfully declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Aishatu Ahmed, the winner while collation of results was ongoing– a declaration which the commission later proclaimed void.
