Dr Chinonso Egemba, known otherwise as Aproko Doctor has stated that fever is not always caused by malaria.

Aproko Doctor made the statement via his Facebook page on Tuesday.

He spoke while countering self-medication by persons who take antimalarial drugs once they have a slit headache or fever.

According to the doctor, this act was influenced by most anti-malarial adverts.

The doctor stated that the aforementioned tradition has led to drug abuse by many sick persons.

He hence advised sick persons to run a medical test before taking further treatments.

He said:

“In most of the adverts we saw about antimalarial drugs

“Once you have a headache or fever, drugs straight, no testing.

“That rubbish has to stop.

“Not every fever is caused by malaria, and that culture just leads to drug abuse.

“Nowadays, you can even test at home with urine.”

Checks revealed Aproko Doctor provided relatable medical advice and hands-on solutions for everyday healthcare promotion.

His brand included years of medical experience leveraging social media for health education.
