The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has confirmed that the first set of stranded Nigerians in Sudan have arrived in Aswan, Egypt.

This was despite arriving late and missing the border closure.

However, the evacuees were expected to leave early in the morning on Friday and proceed to the airport as planned.

Although there were hitches during the evaluation process NiDCOM’s efforts to repatriate stranded Nigerians have been commendable.
