The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Kingsley Otuaro, and Founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, popularly known as Mercy City, Senior Prophet Omoto Fufeyin has been nominated for the 2023 Merit and Honorary Awards, Delta Edition.

The awards, an offshoot of Daily Report Nigeria, aims at recognizing and honoring outstanding impacts of leaders across both public and private sectors in Delta State.

The ceremony is set to promote outstanding leaders and personalities whose impacts have been felt in the state’s political, social, and economic spheres.

While Otuaro was shortlisted in the Peace Ambassador of The Year category alongside Shedrack Agediga, Sheriff Mulade, and Jerry Abiri, Prophet Omoto was listed in the Humanitarian of The Year category.

The billionaire clergyman will slug it out with Dr. Paddy Iyamu and Dcn. Ernest Bebenimibo for the gong.

Meanwhile, popular rapper, Erhiga Agarivbie, better known as Erigga was nominated in the Entertainer of The Year Category alongside Ebisco Sugar, Nollywood’s Isokoh Edirin Stanley (Oduma) Mr Paul, and Destalker.

Sprint sensation, Ese Brume leads the Delta State Commissioner for Sports, Tonobok Okowa, owner of Jude Gbaboyor Sports Academy, Jude Gbaboyor, and sports talent developer, Harris Barbar in the Sports Personality of The Year Category.

Multi-talented comedienne and actress, Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin is joined by Tomama, Mama T, Paranran, and Ossai Ovie Success in the Influence of The Year category.

Nominees for the Activist of the Year category are; Harrison Gwaminishilu, Israel Joe, and Austin Ozobo.

Other categories to be determined by votes include Indigenous Brand of The Year, Media Personality of The Year, and Content Creator of The Year.

The maiden edition of the MAHA forms a part of events mapped out by the online newspaper in commemorating its third-year anniversary.
