A new batch of Nigerians evacuating warring Sudan has arrived in Abuja.

The Federal Government has successfully airlifted the fourth batch of returnees from North Africa to Nigeria.

A total of 422 Nigerians arrived in the nation’s capital. The group consisted of 102 Nigerians onboard the Tarco Airlines that departed Port Sudan and another 322 Nigerians onboard the Asman Air from Aswan, Egypt.

Daily Report Nigeria that the FG has been proactive in ensuring the safe return of Nigerians from conflict zones.

A total of 800 Nigerian evacuees arrived in Abuja on Sunday.

According to reports, FG successfully airlifted them from the North African country via Max Air, Azman, and Tarco Airlines. This was the fourth batch of returnees to be airlifted by the government.

The returnees left Port Sudan International Airport at 5:25 am on Sunday and arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 12:40 pm.

Upon arrival, officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), and security officials were on ground to receive them.
