Dangote Refinery Will Put An End To Petrol Queues in Nigeria – Lai Mohammed

According to the author, the fact that the most important economical project in Africa is coming out of Nigeria is a feat worth celebrating.

Calling for Nigeria’s brightest entertainment stars as well as Noble Laureate, Wole Soyinka to be featured in the event, Omokri said;

“The Nigerian government should pay to broadcast the upcoming commissioning of the 650,000 Barrels Per Day $19 billion Dangote Refinery, at Lekki, Lagos on CNN, Al Jazeera, and any other international news media that accepts paid adverts.

“Davido, Wizkid, Rema, Tems, Tiwa Savage and others, should be engaged to perform at the event. Professor Wole Soyinka ought to recite a poem on that momentous day.

“Ali Baba, Basket mouth, AY, and Bovi should be called upon to liven the event with humour. A public holiday ought to be declared, and school children invited to flood the venue with Nigerian flags, and be inspired by the impending industrialisation of Nigeria. It is not too late. Why?

“Because Nigeria needs a rebranding. And the best form of rebranding is a projection of positive things that are ALREADY happening. Not that will happen. Lai Mohammed has completely failed in this regard.

“By now, he should be everywhere boasting about the refinery, the way Rwanda is boasting of her upcoming $2 billion airport. Our own is not upcoming.

“It is here. And we are not celebrating? It is the most important economic development to have happened in Africa in the last ten years. This refinery can and should replace scam in the hearts of the world when they think of Nigeria.”
