Nigeria’s First Lady, Aisha Buhari has wished that the ongoing crisis in Sudan does not escalate to external countries.

To achieve this, Buhari insisted
at the 10th General Assembly of the Africa First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM) held at the State House in Abuja on Monday that all hands must be on deck.

She expressed deep concern over the humanitarian crisis caused by the war, which has affected mostly women and children.

The First Lady stated that AFLPM was willing to work with all relevant bodies to develop effective strategies to address the crisis.

She equally emphasized the ongoing challenges of banditry, insurgency, internal strife, and coup d’états, which have only served to underscore the need for concerted action regarding women’s peace and security in Africa.

The President’s Wife called on all individuals and organizations to contribute to supporting women and young girls, empowering them to become active participants in peacebuilding efforts.
