BREAKING: Two PDP Senators Dump Party | Daily Report Nigeria

Two Senators of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mathew Urhogide and Ayo Akinyelure, have exited the party.

The announcement was made during Wednesday’s plenary session, with two separate letters addressed to the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.

Urhogide represented Edo South Senatorial District in the red chamber, while Akinyelure represented Ondo Central Senatorial District.

Urhogide cited the inability of the PDP to reconcile the power struggle in the party as the reason for his resignation.

Akinyelure’s reasons for resigning, however, remained unknown as of press time.
