The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) chairman, Prof Mahmoud Yakubu has reportedly refused to give his testimony at the ongoing Presidential Tribunal.
Labour Party, LP, and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, raised the allegation against Yakubu on Wednesday’s sitting.
Obi and the LP claimed that Yakubu has been avoiding the service of a subpoena on him, which was disclosed by their lead counsel, Livy Uzoukwu (SAN).
It was said that despite efforts to serve him, the INEC chairman has refused to receive the letter of subpoena.

However, INEC counsel Kemi Pinheiro (SAN) objected to the submission, arguing that the chairman has not refused any subpoena service, having already received the same from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Meanwhile, during the hearing, the presiding justice of the court, Justice Haruna Tsammani, cautioned the lawyers not to argue over the matter.
